Life is not a dress rehearsal, you have to go for it. But it takes hard work & dedication and you might not always get what you want or what you ‘think’ you deserve. It doesn’t matter. Handle yourself with professionalism and remember in this business, it might be who you know that gets you there, but it’s what you know that keeps you there. Mind your personal brand and the rest will come.

This is music to my ears. Aerin Lauder, granddaughter of Estee Lauder, has announced she is to launch a lifestyle line this August.

According to WWD.com, “beauty will bow in late August and early September, with tabletop and gift offerings to follow for holiday. Personal accessories, fabrics and more home items will bow in spring 2013, as well as a book on living and style from Random House imprint Clarkson Potter, due the following fall.”

With Aerin’s renowned great taste, this is sure to have chic written all over it.
