Victoria Beckham was, of course, my favourite NYFW show this season.
For me, it’s not just about the threads that march down the runway, it’s also about the hair and make-up. VB complemented the mannish silhouette of her A/W collection with a fresh, modern look that still said ‘luxury’.
Hairstylist Guido Palau, who led the team backstage, used Babyliss PRO styling tools to create the simplistic look. To complement the collection, Guido created a sexy, modern style that flowed with ease and simplicity (perfect for a busy, cash-rich mum on the move).
Guido used the Babyliss PRO Volare Hairdryer (£100) and used his fingers instead of a brush to create a straight finish with texture.
He said: “The Volare hairdryer is super fast. It has an extremely powerful motor, drying the hair so quickly so it’s less damaging.” And, in my opinion, perfect for the mayhem of backstage.
He then pulled the hair into a ponytail leaving pieces loose around the face, some with the ear poking out.
Guido said: “The Victoria Beckham women is sexy and sophisticated. The clothes are so designed and very luxurious so the hair had to be fresh and modern, thought-about ease.”
Consider this my new look.
